What should I do? Does he like me?

First i want to pre apologize for typos im ona touch For the past few weeks to a month this guy that was more of an acqaince has decided to become closer. The fist thing he did was playfully attack me. And he gives he really tight hugs. And we talk... Alot more now. The issue i have with guys is i get them to like me but being shy overcomes me and i dont do anything and they move on. But i dont want to scare him off if he is only trying to be a friend by telling him i like him. Were two totaly diffrent people and he amways says im "cool" because his friend dates a girl like me. What should i do?
