What warning's were given prior to Cyclone Tracy?

There were several warnings given out. Most likely by radio or television. The people in the affected area ignored the warnings due to the fact that a previous cyclone had missed that area. People were ignorant and carried on with their lives as cyclone Tracy arrived. It took people by surprise.
