Do you have any idea what is wrong with my husband?

First of all, I know you probably aren't a doctor, and, even if you were, you'd need to see the man to be sure of the problem. I am trying to get him to go to the doctor...but so far I'm not progressing well on the point. He's recently started a new job cleaning up and chopping up fallen trees from a bad storm we had a few weeks ago. He's in between jobs right now, so he hadn't been experiencing a lot of regular hard labor 'til now. He's in a lot of pain, very swollen, he has shooting pains down his legs which make his toes tingle and he is beyond fatigued. He is able to do the work but by the time he gets home, he's so tired he's sick and unable to function. Neither of us think this is a normal reaction. I except that soreness and a little swolleness might happen in the advent of sudden work, but he's puffing up like a cotton ball and he's absolutely miserable with pain. He's always hurting a little, even before he began working this job, and I'm very concerned. He feels he must take this job because he hasn't been able to find another. Any ideas? I will continue to try to get him to the doctor but please help if you can.
