David Lynch's film 'Eraserhead' was a masterpiece but what was it about?
David Lynch's epic masterpiece 'Eraserhead' starring Jack Nance was one of the greatest surreal films I've ever seen. i must have watched it 50 times- the film plays out like a dark dream. I have no idea what the film is about- only that Henry and his girlfriend had a mutant baby. What did the woman in the radiator represent? How about the bleeding chickens? How about the man who operated the gears? And the dream sequence a core sample was taken of Eraserhead's head- to make pencil erasers- what did that symbolize? The ending of the film was sheer brilliance- The world explosing, and thge expression on Erashead's face as he had a halo of stardust. I just wish i knew what it meant- Did Eraserhead's world explode? Eraserhead was a masterpiece, but a confusing one at that.
